We are looking for more events!
Discover Necedah Days weekends have looked different through the years, with the community-wide garage sales being the constant.
The 2026 Necedah-wide garage sales will be June 25–28. The sign-up form to list your sale is in the works. It will be free to list your sale, as usual.
Why I’m pestering you now:
I’d like you or your group to create a community event!
Events could be created by individuals, non-profit groups, businesses, or friend groups. They could involve food, or dancing, or games, or just showing off your favorite part of Necedah. They could last an hour or the entire weekend. The event you create is completely up to you. I will list the event in my marketing for the weekend. (Wow, you’ve already checked marketing off your to-do list, great job!)
With Beta Sigma Phi gone (they created lots of events, including this one), it’s your time to step up and create something new (or bring back something old).
Wouldn’t it be fun to see this weekend blossom into a bunch of small and big events that bring our community out to see each other, and bring in visitors for our local businesses?

For Businesses
We are growing Discover Necedah Days to once again be a big community celebration with multiple events. So far for 2026, we have the community-wide garage sales, scavenger hunt, and an event at the library. We are actively recruiting people, organizations, and businesses to create more community events on the last full weekend in June.
Here are a couple of ways businesses can participate this year:

Create an event. And let us know so we can add it to our marketing efforts!

Advertise with us. Your advertising dollars will get your business seen by the locals and visitors to Necedah, and will help us promote the event further than the free advertising we are doing now. The more advertising dollars we receive, the farther reach we will have. These efforts will help bring people to our community for our businesses and to discover how great a place Necedah is to vacation or stay.

Please note that while this is running through On The Line Presence now, this is not a money-making venture. Funds from advertising will go towards advertising the event.

Logos will appear on the website within a week of payment. No sponsors will be accepted after May 1st. Premier Sponsorship is needed sooner (April 3) to have time to include them in printed marketing material.'
